Australian Conservatoire of Ballet Syllabus- ACB- Extension Program, Elite Program, Part-time and Full-time Programs.

Devised by Christine Walsh AM, The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet’s 12 year program is designed to suit the needs of all classical ballet students who are unable to take full-time dance training from an early age. The Australian Conservatoire of Ballet training and assessment program emphasises correct placement, dynamics and performing quality which are all qualities inherent in the Vaganova method.
Contemporary Dance
Examinations through Comdance- Jason Winters Technique.
This modern dance style is a favourite among our dancers as it allows them to experience their full range of motion and emotion. Inspired by a combination of classical ballet technique and modern movement Contemporary dance enables freedom of movement and expression through abstract and exploratory movement to music and rhythms.
Contemporary dance draws an array of still developing philosophies of movement based on the study of the human body and body/mind inter-relationships.
Flamenco and Character Dance
A incredible class that works students movement of the head, neck and upper body which perfectly works in with the development and requirements for Classical Ballet training.
.Flamenco/Character creates flair, charisma and performance in dancers. Teaching them to move and perform at a young age while having a focus on developing musicality. These are the reason that the Australian Ballet School and Royal Ballet School train their students in Flamenco and Spanish dance.
Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)

Is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program that has been designed to enhance students' technique by focussing on training the muscle memory required in each exercise in all forms of dance. It is a unique training system using ballet-technique specific exercises to train skill acquisition in a graded and progressive manner from junior through to advanced levels. PBT helps teachers around the world prepare their students to receive the strength they need to achieve their personal best.
The program helps with injury prevention and rehabilitation and enhances the ability of athletes to perform at their best. It can be difficult for students to feel which muscles initiate the correct alignment in training. However, with the use of an exercise ball, the students gain a great sense of posture and weight-placement whilst feeling each correct muscle group working throughout each exercise, which then stays with them when whilst performing in dance or their chosen field of sport

PBT focuses on core strength, weight placement and alignment of the body with a gradual approach of carefully designed exercises and repetitions of these exercises that trigger their muscle memory. The program is designed with safe dance methodology to promote a long, healthy career and is now being taught by over 4000+ certified teachers worldwide and over 3500 schools globally have added PBT classes in their curriculum for students.

PBT is not only a program to improve technique in ballet dancers, it is now being appreciated and incorporated in training by all forms of dancers, athletes, physiotherapists and even footballers!
Jazz Dance

Commercial Jazz is known to be a highly choreographed dance form. It features a mixture of sharp and fluid movements, popping & locking and animated expression similar to dances seen on commercial video clips.
Musical Theatre

This is a fun yet intensely exciting class that combines singing, dancing and acting. Many current Musicals, aimed at children, are being turned into movies. Kids love learning the dance sequences and lyrics from their favourite songs. Characters and styles of dance are explored and children arm to have a full item to perform for their parents by the end of term viewing day and will perform as part of the Junior Concert
