Summer Programme 2012 with MARGARET ILLMANN

Former Principal with the Australian Ballet Company, National Ballet of Canada, Stuttgart Ballet- Germany, Deutsche Oper- Germany, Staatsoper Unter Den Linden- Germany and the Vienna Staatsoper - Austria.

The Qld National Ballet School is very excited to announce it’s  2012 Summer Programme, under the supervision of QNBallet Artistic Director, Martyn Fleming ACB Dip.ABS(Distinction)- Former Principal, English National Ballet and Bejart Ballet Lausanne. 

In January, enjoy and learn from the excellent teachings of Margaret Illmann in this five-day intensive dance Programme. Take Open Classical Ballet Classes, Repertoire Coaching, Pointe, Contemporary, and Jazz with the wonderful 2012 Summer Programme faculty. Private lessons with Margaret Illmann and Martyn Fleming are also available- Bookings required.

It’s a great opportunity for students to work closely with former Principal dancers from companies worldwide; this is a privilege that the students of QNBallet experience everyday. 

Date-¬Monday 16th to Friday 20th January 2012
Time- 9:30am‐4:00pm
Venue- QNBallet Studios- Old Museum Building, Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills, Brisbane. 
Summer Programme 2012 ‐ 5 Day Intensive Fee‐ $400 (Private lessons not included).
Students must be 12 yr+ and from RAD intermediate Foundation or ACB Level 4 (Vaganova).

What is Vaganova? The Russian system used by major ballet schools as- Kirov/Vaganova Ballet Academy, Royal ballet School, Bolshoi Ballet School, Australian Ballet School and the New Zealand School of Dance to name a few. Emphasizing correct placement, dynamics, and performance excellence.

Queensland National Ballet students are immediately recognized for their strong classical and contemporary techniques, strength, musicality, and stage artistry.

Class sizes are kept small. Limited spaces in the Excellence Programme are now available.
